# Bunch Formation

Bunch clusters three receivers close together on one side of the line. Their releases cross and create natural rubs and picks, which makes bunch a favorite way to beat man and press.

## How Bunch Lines Up

In Crucible's Bunch, three receivers, including the tight end, line up in a tight triangle to one side, with a single receiver to the other side and a back in the backfield.

## What It Does to a Defense

- Man defenders have to work through traffic, so crossing and pick concepts like Mesh are very effective.
- Press is hard to play against stacked receivers.
- Zone defenders have to communicate fast as three receivers release into different areas.

## How to Read It

If defenders line up on individual receivers, expect man and find the one who comes free of the traffic. If they sit in zones, read the defender the concept attacks.
